Migrate a configuration

  1. Select Start → DeltaV Engineering → Database Administration.
  2. Double click the Migrate Configuration icon.
  3. Click the Load button.
  4. Browse to the original configuration (.FHX) file to be migrated.
  5. Select the file and click Open.
  6. Click the Migrate button to migrate the file. Details relevant to the migration are displayed in the dialog.
  7. Click the Clear button to clear the dialog. You can then load another database to migrate.
  8. Click the Exit button to close the dialog.

Migrated configuration files are stored in the same directory as the source file. The migrated file is named FileName_Migrated_vxx.fhx (where vxx is the current DeltaV release version number). Two Log files are created in the same directory as the migrated file. These files contain information about the configuration migration and the license migration. The Log files are named FileName_LOG_vxx.txt file and FileName_LicErrLog.fhx (where vxx is the current DeltaV release version number).
