Rename a database

You cannot rename a database if it is in use by other nodes or if you do not have sufficient access rights to all the DeltaV database subdirectories. Verify that the database is not in use with the Database Connections tools. Log on to the computer as the Windows User, Administrator.

  1. Select Start → DeltaV Engineering → Database Administration.
  2. Double-click the Rename Database icon.
  3. Select the database you want to rename in the Database name field. Use the down arrow to view the list of database names.
  4. Type a new name for the database in the Database name field.
  5. Click the Rename button to rename the database.
  6. Click OK to acknowledge the rename was completed.
  7. Click the Close button to exit the Rename window or select another database to rename.
