Set the active database

Do not remain connected (in DeltaV Explorer or Control Studio, for example), to the active database when changing the active database. Shut down all database clients first, before proceeding with these steps.

  1. Select Start → DeltaV Engineering → Database Administration.
  2. Double-click the Set Active Database tool.
  3. Click Change.
  4. In the Select New Active Database dialog, select the new active database from the Database name box.
  5. Run Workstation Configuration on all your workstations. This ensures that the IP addresses and DeltaV registry is correctly set for each node.
  6. Download each workstation using DeltaV Explorer.
Note

Each machine connected to the host must use the same active database and be defined in that database. Also, only one database can be active at any one time.
