Use the Add or Modify Signers dialog

Note

The Add Signer and Modify Signer dialogs both function similarly. You can verify which action you are taking by referencing the dialog's title bar.

  1. Add or modify the Signer description. The description must be unique for this page.

The description represents the person or group that will have the ability to authorize. For example, a signer description could be manager or supervisors, rather than an individual's name.

  2. Assign a function lock to that signer description.

If modifying a signer, you cannot change the assigned lock. To reassign a lock, you must delete the signer and recreate it with the appropriate lock.

The signer must have the key to that function lock to authorize under that description. For example, if the Manager description is assigned function lock Approval_01, then any person that will authorize as Manager has to have the key to Approval_01.

Once you assign a function lock, the lock is no longer available. You must delete a signer description to make the lock available.

  3. Click OK to accept the configuration and close the dialog. Click Cancel to close the dialog without saving the current configuration.
  4. Repeat these steps until you have added or modified all the signers that you need. You can have up to five signers.
