DeltaV Delete Utility scenarios

The following table describes several scenarios that can occur when using the DeltaV Delete Utility and what happens to the selected files in each scenario.
Scenario Result if you continue the delete . . .
If the file you are deleting has the same name as a file already in the DeltaV Recycle Bin . . . . . . the new file overwrites the file already in the DeltaV Recycle Bin.
If the file you are deleting has a different version in another workstation . . . . . . only the file with the latest timestamp is dumped in the DeltaV Recycle Bin.
If the DeltaV Delete Utility is unable to communicate with a workstation . . . . . . only the accessible file with the latest timestamp is dumped in the DeltaV Recycle bin.
If the file you are deleting conflicts with a file on a remote workstation . . . . . . the new file overwrites the remote workstation file.
If a remote workstation is offline . . . . . . the DeltaV Delete Utility cannot detect the offline remote node. (Because the remote node is not detected, the utility cannot warn you that it is offline.)

. . . the file is deleted when the workstation comes back online.
