Conversion issues and solutions for DeltaV Operate-converted graphics

The table below lists many of the possible conversion issues that can occur when importing DeltaV Operate-converted graphics into Graphics Studio. The table also includes each message's unique identifier and a suggested solution for fixing the issue.

Important:

Animations that are not commonly used are not converted and do not appear in a display's conversion log file.

Some examples of animations that are not converted and do not appear in the conversion log include:
  • BackgroundStyle
  • SecondaryImageDisplayed
  • CurrentImage
  • Object animations in general
  • Some types of RotationAngle animations.

#conv0009# EdgeStyle of type InsideFrame does not have an equivalent in DeltaV Live and mapped property LineStyle is set to Solid. No action needed. The LineStyle is Solid.
#conv0010# HorizontalFillPercentage and VerticalFillPercentage are both animated and this is not supported in DeltaV Live. Create an Animation on Fill Percent and set Fill Angle.
  1. Locate the element on the imported DeltaV Live display by searching for the conversion ID.
  2. Examine the object on the DeltaV Operate display and note the Fill and Scale DeltaV parameters.
  3. In the Graphics Studio Graphics Configuration pane, in the element's Basics tab/Fill property group, click the diamond next to Fill Percent and select Animation from the context menu.
  4. Enter the Fill and Scale parameters noted in DeltaV Operate.
  5. Select a value for Fill Angle.
#conv0011# The HorizontalFromCenter fill direction type does not have an equivalent in DeltaV Live. FillAngle is set to 90. Test the display to see if the Fill Angle needs to be a value other than 90 degrees.
#conv0012# The VerticalFromCenter fill direction type does not have an equivalent in DeltaV Live. FillAngle is set to 0. Test the display to see if the Fill Angle needs to be a value other than 0 degrees.
#conv0014# CheckBox is converted to a CheckBox with default properties. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphics Studio. Examine the checkbox on the DeltaV Operate display and configure the DeltaV Live checkbox accordingly.
#conv0015# OptionButton is converted to a RadioButton with default properties. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphics Studio. Examine the option button on the DeltaV Operate display and configure the DeltaV Live radio button accordingly.
#conv0016# ComboBox is converted to a ComboBox with default properties. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphics Studio. Examine the combo box on the DeltaV Operate display and configure the DeltaV Live combo box accordingly.
#conv0017# Layer does not have an equivalent in DeltaV Live and is not converted.
  1. Create a Number display variable called LayerMask. (Each bit of LayerMask represents a Layer.)

    For example, when you want Layer 3 to be visible, set the third bit of LayerMask to 1. Otherwise, when you want Layer 3 to be hidden, set the third bit to 0.

  2. Create visibility animations for any display elements that should participate in the layering.
    You can use the expression below to specify that a display element should be visible for a specific Layer. (To specify that a display element should be visible for Layer 3, substitute 3 in place of n in the following expression.) 
    ((Dsp.LayerMask >>> (LayerNumbern – 1)) & 1)
    If an element should be visible on multiple layers, use multiple copies of the above expression, separated by the OR operator. For example: ((Dsp.LayerMask >>> (LayerNumber2 - 1)) & 1) 
    ((Dsp.LayerMask >>> (LayerNumber1 – 1)) & 1) 
OR ((Dsp.LayerMask >>> (LayerNumber2 – 1)) & 1)
  3. You can do the following using script:
    • Set a specific Layer to Visible with: 
      Dsp.LayerMask = Dsp.LayerMask | (1 << (LayerNumber - 1));
    • Set a specific Layer to Invisible with: 
      Dsp.LayerMask = Dsp.LayerMask & ~(1 << (LayerNumber - 1));
    • Toggle a specific Layer's visibility with: 
      Dsp.LayerMask = Dsp.LayerMask ^ (1 << (LayerNumber - 1));
#conv0018# Multiple images found in bitmap object. Standard values are created for each, please complete configuration by creating an Image Function using these and specify it as the Library Animation on the Image Source property. Image elements in DeltaV Live contain only one image, but a standard is created for each DeltaV Operate-converted image on import into DeltaV Live. An image element can then be animated using an image function that contains these image standards.
  1. Import all library items associated with the converted display (if not already imported). A standard is created for each imported image.
  2. Create an rule-based image function, using the image standards as outputs and the relevant data source from the DeltaV Operate image animation as input.
  3. Animate the image element's Source property by referencing the image function. (Click the diamond next to Source and select Library Animation → <image function>.
#conv0019# BackgroundColor Animation found when BackgroundStyle is Transparent and so has no effect. Animation is not converted. No action needed.
#conv0020# FillStyle value has no equivalent in DeltaV Live for this shape. FillColor is the default DeltaV Live value. Pattern fill color is not supported on all shapes. The pattern is set on the element's Fill Color, if supported; otherwise, the Fill Color is set to the default DeltaV Live value.
#conv0022# TabStrip does not convert but a TabStrip placeholder is created. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphics Studio. A Tab element is created. The number of tab items and the placement is converted. Examine the TabStrip object in DeltaV Operate and configure the Tab element in DeltaV Live to recreate remaining look and behavior.
#conv0023# The script on the image was not converted. Edit the image in Graphics Studio to add the desired interaction. Configure an interaction on the image.
#conv0024# DeltaV Live Arc is not rendered the same as a DeltaV Operate Arc. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphic Studio. Compare the arc position on the DeltaV Operate display and the imported DeltaV Live display; adjust if needed.
#conv0025# DeltaV Live Chord is not rendered the same as a DeltaV Operate Chord. Please complete its configuration after import into Graphic Studio. Compare the chord position on the DeltaV Operate display and the imported DeltaV Live display; adjust if needed.
#conv0026# The DeltaV Live GEM size may be different than the DeltaV Operate dynamo size. Please review the GEM on the display, adjust if necessary. Many Emerson dynamos are converted to Emerson linked GEMs. After import into Graphics Studio, inspect the GEM on the display to see if placement or size needs adjusting.
#conv0027# The Event is not supported in DeltaV Live. The Edit, KeyDown, KeyUp, MouseMove, MouseUp and other events have no equivalent in DeltaV Live. After import into Graphics Studio, examine the converted object to see which events and interactions can be configured on that object.
#conv0028# Events are not supported on this shape type. Not all graphic elements in DeltaV Live support interactions. Examine the object on the DeltaV Operate display to see the event that was configured. Examine the converted object on the imported display to investigate ways to achieve similar behavior. For example, you could convert the element to a group element and then configure an interaction on the group element.
#conv0029# The Replace picture option of the Data Entry expert has no equivalent in DeltaV Live and is converted to replace the current display. All varieties of Replace Picture Expert instances are converted to a Click interaction that opens the named display, which replaces the current display.

The dynamo is converted to an Emerson linked GEM of the named GEM Class. Examine the linked GEM to determine if additional properties need to be configured to match how the dynamo was configured in DeltaV Operate.
#conv0031# The DeltaV Operate Close expert has no equivalent in DeltaV Live and is not converted. Displays are not explicitly closed in DeltaV Live so the Close Picture expert has no replacement. Evaluate converted configuration behavior in DeltaV Live to determine if additional behavior needs to be configured.
#conv0032# Verify the correct placement and arc sweep of the Pie shape. Compare the Pie shape on the DeltaV Operate display and the Graphics Studio imported display; adjust if needed.
#conv0033# Table based animations are not converted for RotationAngle. Create an animation on the element's Rotation Angle property in Graphics Studio.
#conv0035# Format based animations are not converted for RotationAngle. Create an animation on the element's Rotation Angle property in Graphics Studio.
#conv0037# Group BackDrops not supported in DeltaV Live. Group Backdrop properties have no equivalent in DeltaV Live. Examine the converted Group element to determine if any action is needed, such as introducing another shape.
#conv0038# HorizontalFillPercentage is not supported on <shape> The named shape has no equivalent animatable property in DeltaV Live. Examine the converted shape to determine if any action is needed, such as animating another shape.
#conv0039# VerticalFillPercentage is not supported on <shape> The named shape has no equivalent animatable property in DeltaV Live. Examine the converted shape to determine if any action is needed, such as animating another shape.
#conv0040# The HP_Radar dynamo has been converted to a DeltaV Live RadarPlot element. Please verify the size and placement on the imported display. This dynamo is converted to a Radar Plot data element. The parameter paths and a few other properties are converted. Compare the dynamo with the Radar Plot element and complete its configuration.
#conv0041# The HP_Vert/HorizMuliPoint dynamo has been converted to a MultiPoint PDE. Please verify the size and placement on the DeltaV Live display. This dynamo is converted to a MultiPoint data element. The parameter paths and a few other properties are converted. Compare the dynamo with the MultiPoint element and complete its configuration.
#conv0042# The Slider Data Entry option of the Data Entry export has no equivalent in DeltaV Live and is replaced with using the DataEntry contextual display. The slider option of the Data Entry Expert in DeltaV Operate has no equivalent in DeltaV Live. It is converted to using the DataEntry Contextual Display.
#conv0043# The PushButton Data Entry option of the Data Entry Expert has no equivalent in DeltaV Live and is not converted. Examine the Data Entry Expert configuration in DeltaV Operate and explore ways to configure an appropriate replacement in Graphics Studio.

The ramp option of the Data Entry Expert in DeltaV Operate has no equivalent in DeltaV Live. It is converted using the DataEntry Contextual Display.
