The
Dataset Configuration dialog lists statistics values
for a DeltaV serial card or a Virtual I/O Module card from MYNAH Technologies.
The following statistics values are listed for a DeltaV serial card:
- Device address – All dataset
devices are programmed with an address to differentiate between devices. The
address indicates which device is referencing the data.
- Data direction – Input
indicates that data is flowing out of the device and into the DeltaV system.
Output indicates that data is flowing out of the DeltaV system and into the
device.
- Number of values – The size
of the dataset in 16-bit registers. For coils, the number of values is the
number of bits of information.
- Output mode – Only applies
if the data direction is output. Block means that if any value is written out,
all registers will be written to. Single value means that if a single value is
written out then a single value is written in.
- Output readback – Only
applies if the data direction is output. True means that a read occurs after a
write. False means that a read does not occur after a write.
- Data type – Indicates how
the DeltaV system interprets data.
- PLC start register address –
The offset from the base address of the PLC data type.
- PLC data type – The type of
data this dataset contains.
