Find DST dialog

The Find DST dialog allows you to generate a list of the following information:

Name

Enter a complete or partial DST name specified with a wildcard pattern in the Name field.

A valid DST name cannot exceed 16 characters and may contain only alphanumeric characters, plus the dollar sign ($), hyphen (-), or underscore (_) character.

Use the asterisk (*) wildcard character to match any combination of 0 or more characters; use the question mark (?) wildcard character to match any single character.

Include Fieldbus devices

When selected, generates a list of FOUNDATION fieldbus device names matching the specified DST name.

The Include Fieldbus devices option may be disabled if you are running DeltaV Diagnostics on a remote workstation and its connection to the ProfessionalPLUS workstation does not support discovering FOUNDATION fieldbus device names.

DST table

Matching DST names, optionally including FOUNDATION fieldbus device names, and the placeholder paths of the physical addresses from the Diagnostics hierarchy for each DST found appear in the Name and Location columns of the DST table.

You can change the width of the Name and Location columns by dragging the divider in the title bar of the DST table.

You can reorder the list in either alphabetical or reverse-alphabetical order by either name or location by clicking the Name or Location labels, and then clicking the up- or down-arrow that appears on the title bar of the DST table.

The Find DST dialog contains the following buttons:

Find Now

Note

Clicking the Find Now button clears any items currently listed in the DST table.

Stop
