Display and hide the toolbar and status bar

The toolbar contains buttons that are shortcuts to menu commands, and the status bar describes the action to be taken by a command or toolbar button. You can display or hide the toolbar and status bar.

To display the toolbar and status bar

Click View → Toolbar or View → Status Bar, and then select the command that places a check mark next to it.

To hide the toolbar and status bar

Click View → Toolbar or View → Status Bar, and then clear the check mark.
