The Active Advertising feature causes the HART server to poll the field network, looking for new or unreachable devices to join the wireless network. When Active Advertising is enabled, wireless devices typically join the network significantly sooner.
To enable Active Advertising
Navigate to WIOCn → Decommissioned Wireless Devices in the Diagnostics hierarchy.
Right-click, and then select Enable Active Advertising.
Specify the number of minutes that you want Active Advertising to run.
Valid values are from 1 to 255 minutes; the default is 30 minutes.
