View information about decommissioned controllers

Decommissioned controllers appear under the Decommissioned Nodes level in the Diagnostics hierarchy. Use the context menu commands to view information about decommissioned controllers.

Select a decommissioned controller, and then click:
  • Rescan Node to rebuild the hierarchy under the decommissioned controller.
  • TCPIP/Ping to open a dialog from which you can ping the decommissioned controller's primary and secondary Media Access Control (MAC) address. If the decommissioned controller is redundant, you can ping the primary and secondary MAC address of both controllers in the pair.
    Tip

To visually identify a decommissioned controller before pinging it or sending it a Telnet command, select Identify Controller from the context menu.

  • Telnet to open a dialog from which you can send a Telnet command to the decommissioned controller's primary and secondary MAC address. If the decommissioned controller is redundant, you can Telnet to the primary and secondary MAC address of both controllers in the pair.
  • Identify Controller to open a dialog that causes all the LEDs on the controller to turn on and blink simultaneously. Use this command to visually identify a controller.
