Discrete Voter function block alarm detection

The DVTR block contains a number of conditions in the DVTR_ALERTS parameter. Only one of these DVTR_ALERTS conditions (Input Bad) propagates to the module level parameter MERROR. The following table lists the DVTR block alarm conditions.

Alarm Condition in DVTR_ALERTS

Alert in Module Parameter MERROR

Trip Active

None

Bypass Active

Startup Override Active

Expiration Reminder

Bypassed Input Tripped

Input Bad

IO Input Error

Alarm conditions do not propagate when the REPORT_OPTS option, Alarm conditions do not roll up to module level, is selected. You might want to prevent propagation when the voting scheme is used to calculate a permissive rather than an interlock or trip condition.
