Add an expression to a function block

Some function blocks allow you to add a programmatic expression using the Expression Editor. For any function block that supports expressions, you can open the Expression Editor dialog in one of the following ways:

• Double-click the function block in a diagram
• Right-click the function block, and then select Expression from the context menu
• Click the Expression button on the Settings tab of the Control Studio ribbon

Function blocks that support expressions include the following:

• Calc/Logic block (CALC) on the Analog Control palette
• Action block (ACT) on the Logical palette
• Condition block (CND) on the Logical palette
• Calculation – Logic block (LSCALC) on the SIS Math palette
