Create a module from an existing module

  1. Click the Main button , and then click New.
  2. From the New dialog, select Module or module template and Start from Existing module, template, or composite template.
  3. Click Browse. Select the Area to browse.
  4. Choose the type of Object (either Modules or Module Templates) from the Browse dialog.
  5. Select the specific module (or module template) from the Browse dialog. Click OK.
  6. Click OK in the New dialog. The system displays a multipane window that contains the hierarchy, the parameters, the alarms, and the Diagram View (for either a Function Block Diagram or Sequential Function Chart).
  7. Make any modifications you want to the new module
  8. Click the Main button, and then click Save.
