Modify the algorithm of a linked block

  1. Select the function block you want to modify.
  2. Right-click, and then select Edit Object.
  3. If the block is a linked block or a module block, a second window running Control Studio appears that contains the original function block to which your block is linked. (If it is an embedded composite block, you can drill into the embedded composite to edit it.)
  4. Edit the original using this second window.
  5. Save the changes to the original.
    Note

    The maximum number of edit sessions that you can have in Control Studio is three. If you are already running three edit sessions, the additional window for the linked block will not appear.
