Rename a block

  1. Select the block you want to rename.
  2. Right-click, and then click Rename.
  3. Type a new name, and then click OK.
  4. If renaming an embedded block, you must back out after renaming the block (right-click the diagram view, and then click Back Out).
    Note

    You can also rename the block by selecting it, and clicking the name. Notice that the cursor changes to the text cursor. You still must adhere to the Control Studio naming conventions (16 characters or less, contain at least one alpha character, and may contain only alphanumeric, $, -, _ characters. Spaces are not allowed)
