Add an SIS composite block from a template

This procedure assumes that an SIS module is open in Control Studio and an SIS composite template exists in the Library. Only composite blocks from SIS composite templates (not regular DeltaV composite templates) can be added to SIS modules. In addition, only embedded (not linked) SIS composite blocks can be added to SIS modules.

  1. Drag a composite block from the Special Items palette.
  2. In the Custom Block dialog, enter a name for the block, select Existing composite template, and then click Next.
  3. Click Browse to open the Browse dialog.
  4. In the Browse dialog, browse for the existing SIS composite template by double-clicking the category name.
  5. Select the SIS composite template, and then click OK.
  6. Click Finish in the SIS Custom Block dialog to add the SIS composite block to the SIS module’s function block diagram.
