Change the description of a cause (or effect) in an LSCEM block

This example assumes that an SIS module containing a Cause Effect Matrix (LSCEM) block is open in Control Studio.

  1. Select the LSCEM block.
  2. In the Parameter view, double-click the description (DESC_CAUSEn or DESC_EFFECTn) parameter you wish to change.
  3. In the Properties Value field, enter a description, such as Temperature High (or Close Valve).
    Note

    The new description will be used for the appropriate Cause (or Effect) in the matrix. It will also show in the Default column for the description in the Parameter view.

  4. Click OK.
  5. Double-click MATRIX in the Parameter view to open the matrix to verify the new description for the cause or effect.
