Configure an LSSEQ block in an SIS module

The Properties dialog of the function block’s MATRIX parameter contains the State/Output matrix. The number of Outputs can be changed via the function block’s Extensible Parameters. The number of States is determined by the NUM_STATES parameter (for which the default value is 16).

The Output values for the matrix are all initialized to 0 when the block is created. A “1” means the State causes the Output to be driven to 1. A “0” means the State drives the Output to 0.

  1. Drag a Step Sequencer block from the Advanced Functions palette onto the module’s function block diagram. The default block contains 2 outputs.
  2. With the LSSEQ block selected, right-click the MATRIX parameter in the Parameter view, and then select Properties (or double-click the MATRIX parameter).

The MATRIX Properties dialog shows a table with the states listed down the left side and the outputs in columns to the right. The state and output names are prefixed with their corresponding index numbers to help identify them.

  3. To modify the contents of a cell (the intersection of a state and output), select the cell, and then click Toggle Value (or double-click the cell). Double-clicking changes the value from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0.
  4. To adjust the column widths, click Autosize to automatically size each column or Minimize to adjust the column widths to a minimal size. You can also drag the line between column headings to adjust the column size.
  5. After configuring the Step Sequencer matrix, click OK.
