Configure an SIS alarm shelving timeout value

The Alarm Shelving Timeout specifies a time period after which an alarm is reset to unshelved if it has been shelved for the specified period. Alarms are typically shelved by an operator through the alarm list or a detail display.

This example assumes that an SIS module is open in Control Studio.

  1. In the Alarm view, select an alarm.
  2. Right-click, and then select Properties.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Set an Alarm Shelving Timeout using the Days, Hours, and Minutes fields.
  5. Click OK.
