Take a controller off-line

  1. Navigate to the controller. (System Configuration/Physical Network/Control Network).
  2. Right-click the controller.
  3. Click Decommission. The red LED on the controller will flash.
      CAUTION
    When you decommission a controller, the controller erases its IP address and the configuration that you have downloaded to it and stops any module processing. DeltaV Explorer retains the IP address and the assigned module information but no longer associates this information with the physical device. DeltaV Explorer moves the controller to the Decommissioned Controllers section.
