Use equipment trains in a recipe

Equipment trains are associated with the recipe at the Procedure level. To use equipment trains in a recipe, at least one equipment train class must exist (so that it can be selected on the dialog). Equipment train instances will have to be created but can be created later. Only one equipment train class can be associated with the recipe.

  1. Select the procedure and open its Properties dialog.
  2. Click the Unit Alias tab.
  3. Check the Use Equipment Train check box.
    Note:
When selecting this option, any future changes to the equipment train class and the equipment train instances can affect the procedures that reference that class and may require you to revisit this dialog.
  4. Enter (or browse to) the equipment train class name. If you type the name of the equipment train class, you must then click the Apply button.
  5. Choose to either use all the trains in a class or to use only the selected trains.
    • If you are using all trains in the class, you are done configuring the trains for this procedure. All trains that are based on this class will be available to the operator at run time. This includes trains that are added to the class at a later date. Any trains that are deleted at a future date will no longer be available to the operator at run time.
    • If you are using selected trains, select the train from the Available Trains list and click the Add >> button. (Conversely, to remove the train from the Selected Trains list, select the train and click << Remove.) Only equipment trains that are instances of this class are available for selection.
    • Leaving the Selected Trains list blank makes all trains in the class available to the operator at run time.
  6. Click OK.
