Add a HART Device Template from a device definition

This procedure requires a device template category. Device templates cannot be added to the top level of Device Templates.

Note:
You can also create a device template by selecting and right-clicking a device template category, and then clicking New → Device Template.
  1. Navigate to the device definition (Library/Device Definitions/HART Devices/manufacturer/device/revision).
  2. Select the device revision on which you want to base the template.
  3. Drag the device revision to a template category (Library/Device Templates/category).
