Enable HART device alerts under a Logic Solver

Note:

This topic applies to both SLS 1508 Logic Solvers and CHARMs Smart Logic Solvers.

  1. Navigate to a HART channel or LS CHARM.
  2. In the right pane, select the DST, right-click, and then select Properties.
  3. Complete the fields in the DST Properties dialog.
  4. Select the Alarms and Displays tab, and then select the Enable Device Alarms check box.
    Note:
    The Alarms and Displays tab is hidden if you have not selected a device that supports Device Alerts. The Enable Device Alarms check box only appears if the HART device is under a Logic Solver.
  5. Enter a Primary control display name, and then click OK.
  6. Select the HART Device Alarms component under the DST in the Explorer tree.
  7. Double-click an alarm (such as COMM_ALM) to open its Properties dialog.
  8. Select a different priority, and then click OK.
