Version Control for DeltaV displays introduction

DeltaV Version Control for Operator Displays lets you manage changes to your operator displays. Version Control maintains a history of the displays and enables you to version the display, compare versions and restore previous display versions.

In order for Version Control for DeltaV Displays to function you must:

Install Version Control software and licenses. Version control is a DeltaV installation option.
Define Version Control privileges for users.
Enable Version Control for DeltaV Displays. To enable Version Control, open the DeltaV Database Administrator application, double-click the Version Control Configuration icon. Select both Enable Version Control and Enable Version Control for DeltaV Displays.

To edit a display, you must use DeltaV Operate. You can launch DeltaV Operate (in configure mode) from DeltaV Explorer by right-clicking the checked out display, and then selecting Open with DeltaV Operate.

Note:

You can only have one instance of DeltaV Operate running on a workstation. If you open DeltaV Operate from DeltaV Explorer, you cannot also run DeltaV Operate from the Start menu or FlexLock.
