If you have a HART device connected to a channel, you can configure it
automatically by using the auto-sense feature.
Navigate to the channel for I/O card where the HART device is
connected (System Configuration/Physical Network/Control
Network/controller/I/O/card/channel).
Right-click the channel.
Click
Auto-sense HART Device on the context menu.
Note:
Autosensing recognizes HART devices that are physically
connected to the channel, including the tag, revision, and description
properties for the device. Autosensing also generates device tags in the
database.
