Disable bitmap caching for remote sessions

  1. From the Windows task bar, select Start → All Programs → Accessories → Communications → Remote Desktop Connection.
  2. Click the Options button to expand the Remote Desktop Connection dialog.
  3. On the Experience tab, clear the check box for Bitmap caching.
    Note:
If errors involving missing or corrupted cache directories are encountered, it is recommended that bitmap caching be disabled. (This is typically only a problem for very high speed connections.) For most slow connections (or if no caching errors are encountered) it is recommended that bitmap caching remain enabled to improve performance.
