Change the Batch Executive Node for a Campaign Manager Server

Before changing the Batch Executive node for a Campaign Manager, verify the following:
  • That no other Campaign Manager is currently referencing the Batch Executive you want to use. If one is, you must change that Campaign Manager first.
  • That the campaign list for the Campaign Manager being changed is empty. If the list is not empty, before you start, you will need to use the Batch Application Manager to purge the Campaign List.
Important:
Purging removes the campaign journal files and clears the Campaign Manager’s current state. This is equivalent to a cold restart of the Campaign Manager Server since the last known state of the server is cleared. A campaign can only be purged when the campaign and its batches are not active and all batches in the campaign have been removed from the Batch Executive’s batch list.

To change the Batch Executive node name,

  1. Navigate to the Campaign Manager node (System Configuration/Physical Network/workstation)
  2. Expand the node.
  3. Right-click Campaign Manager.
  4. Click Properties.
  5. On the General tab, enter the name or browse to the new Batch Executive node.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Download the Campaign Manager node.
  8. Stop and restart the Campaign Manager Server using the Batch Application Manager.
