Lock or unlock a controller

  1. In DeltaV Explorer, navigate to the controller.

    You can also select multiple nodes by multi-selecting nodes in the same list, selecting one or multiple I/O networks (controller, EIOC, WIOC, CIOC are supported with this function), or selecting both individual nodes along with I/O networks. Be aware that the more nodes you select, the longer it will take to complete the locking or unlocking.

    When selecting multiple nodes, some might be locked while others are unlocked. In that case, both menu items are displayed. Once you select an action, it is performed on the appropriate nodes. For example, when selecting multiple nodes where some are locked and some are unlocked and applying the Lock function, only those nodes in the unlocked state are locked. If a node was already locked, no action is taken on that node.

  2. Right-click and select Lock or Unlock.
  3. On the confirmation dialog, click Yes to make the change. (No cancels the action without affecting the selected nodes.)
    Locking or unlocking a node generates a user change event in the Event Chronicle.
