You can upload recorded module and block-level parameter value changes, including changed parameter values for blocks running in commissioned fieldbus devices, and overwrite the equivalent values in your database.
- Right-click one of the following objects depending on what you want to upload:
- a single downloaded module, to upload the parameter changes for a module.
- a controller, to upload the parameter changes of all the downloaded modules assigned to the controller.
- the physical network or the control network to upload parameter changes for all the downloaded modules in the system.
- a commissioned fieldbus device.
Note:
You cannot upload a module that is currently opened in on-line edit mode in Control Studio.
- Click Upload. To upload fieldbus devices, right-click, and then click Upload Function Blocks.
- If you have the controller, physical network, control network, or fieldbus device selected, the system asks you if you want to select the parameter values to upload for each module before they are uploaded. Click Yes if you are uncertain of the parameter changes in the modules. If you have a module selected, you also are able to select the parameter values.
Note:
The present controller configuration, operating parameters and I/O is not necessarily included in the upload process. Any parameter changes made by the control algorithms in the controller, as is done in SFC processing, are not included in the upload.
- In the Upload dialog, select the parameter values you want to upload.
CAUTION Make sure you select all the values you want. You cannot perform a second upload on the selected object until you downloaded the object. The downloaded replaces the on-line values with the values in the database.
