Create and load a workstation configuration file

You can only create a workstation configuration file from the ProfessionalPLUS workstation. The workstation configuration file contains the information about other workstations that you have configured from the ProfessionalPLUS workstation. Once you create the file, you must load it onto the other workstations in the DeltaV system using the following instructions.

  1. Click File → Export → Workstation Configuration.
  2. Save the workstation configuration file to removable media or to a network location. You can use the default name for a workstation configuration file, DevData.cfg, or specify a different file name.
    Note:
    Do not include spaces in the export file name. The database migration utility does not support file names with spaces.
  3. Click Save
  4. At each destination workstation, run the Workstation Configuration application. When prompted, load the configuration file you saved above.
