Add a new alarm priority

  1. Navigate to Alarm Priorities (System Configuration/Setup/Alarm Preferences).
  2. Click Alarm Priorities.
  3. Right-click on any white space in the Alarm Priorities pane and select New Alarm Priority from the context menu.
    A Properties dialog opens.
  4. Enter a name and description for this priority.
  5. Select the value for this priority.
  6. Configure the auto-acknowledge, alarm banner, and sound settings.
  7. Click OK to save the new alarm priority.
    Note:
If you are using DeltaV Live, then you must manually modify the priority label's corresponding Graphics Studio standard. For example, if you add the new label, NOT-SO-BAD, to priority level 6, then you must manually enter NOT-SO-BAD as the value for the Graphics Studio standard, S_AlarmPriority06.
