The DeltaV Explorer interface

The DeltaV Explorer application’s window is divided into panes. The two main panes are described here.

Hierarchy

The left pane shows the information in your configuration database. To explore the hierarchy, click the plus sign next to an object. Continue to click the plus signs in the hierarchy to drill down into the configuration database. To view information about a specific object in the right pane, double-click it.

Right-click an object in the left pane. The resulting context menu provides the functions that are available to that object (such as Edit, Open, Copy, and Add a New Object). The options available depend on the type of object you select.

Contents

The right pane is the Contents pane. It displays the objects associated with the selected category in the left pane.

Right-click an object in the right pane. The resulting context menu provides the functions that are available to that object (such as Edit, Open, Copy, and Rename). The options available depend on the object type selected.
