Replace DeltaV Operate startup picture

On very slow remote connections, you may want to replace the graphical startup pictures for DeltaV Operate with simpler pictures to improve performance. (Replacing the pictures will change the startup pictures for all users, not just for remote users.) The replacement picture (DeltaV.BLANK) is stored in the same directory as the originals.

  1. Exit DeltaV Operate on the Server and any connected terminal sessions.
  2. Logon to the Server machine as a privileged user.
  3. Open Windows Explorer.
  4. Go to the \DeltaV\DVData\Graphics-iFIX\Pic directory.
  5. Right-click the DeltaV.grf file, and then select Rename.
  6. Rename the file DeltaV.original, and click OK. Click OK to the warning or confirmation messages.
  7. Right-click DeltaV.BLANK, and then select Rename.
  8. Rename the file DeltaV.grf, and click OK. Click OK to the warning or confirmation messages.
  9. Restart DeltaV Operate.
