Debug an SIS module in a workstation

An SIS module has been created and downloaded to a Logic Solver that is assigned to a simulated Logic Solver card under the ProfessionalPLUS workstation. The user has the CanConfigureSIL key. (If the user does not have this key, Control Studio opens in read-only mode.)

The debug mode in Control Studio has different capability depending on whether the SIS module is running in a Logic Solver card or in a ProfessionalPLUS workstation.

  1. Navigate to the SIS module in the Area under Control Strategies.
  2. Right-click, and then select Open → Open and Debug with Control Studio.
  3. Select On-line/Debug, and then select Stop.
  4. Click Yes in the Confirmation dialog.
    Note:
The debug commands available while debugging an SIS module in the ProfessionalPLUS workstation are Stop, Run Once, Set Value, and Force Input.
