The Tag Discrete Input (TAGDI) function block is an EIOC-resident function block that reads and displays the values of a control tag in a PLC. The block output parameters map to control tag parameters associated with the PLC.
The TAGDI block is read-only and can only be used for monitoring a subset of parameter values from a PLC P_DIn add-on instruction. It does not write outputs to the control tag or perform any logic. The block only works in conjunction with the TagDI_MONITOR PLC tag definition in the DeltaV Explorer library.
