DeltaV Alarm Help is available across zones in read-only mode; it must be configured or modified in the system where the alarm originates.
Here are some things to remember when using Alarm Help across zones.
- When the alarm parameter
path contains a DeltaV zone, the dialog title displays the application name and
parameter path to the alarm (Alarm Help - <zone name>%<module
name>/<alarm name>), where
<zone name> is the DeltaV zone in which the
alarm is located.
- When viewing an alarm, the
modify alarm help button will be disabled if the alarm help information is from
another zone.
- The Alarm Help named sets
need to be identical across zones to ensure that the Alarm Help labels are
consistent across zones.
- Downloading alarm help
from alarms in another zone is not supported.
