Non-Emerson devices may repeatedly fail to download. This can occur if the default values have been overwritten. First try decommissioning and then recommissioning the device. If this does not work and the device supports "Reset to Factory Defaults", reset the device to the factory defaults. Finally, refer to the device documentation.
A device can fail to download if the User-specified macrocycle option (rather than the Module-driven macrocycle option) is selected and the device does not support the macrocycle (the execution time for all the fieldbus function blocks on the segment). The macrocycle is specified on the Port Properties dialog in DeltaV Explorer. Refer to the device documentation for supported macrocycle times.
