Select a string based on the value of x. SELSTR (x,a,b,c,d,e) returns a if the value of x is 1, b if the value is 2, c if the value is 3, d if the value is 4, or e if the value is 5.
Syntax:
'string' := SELSTR(internal or external reference, string 1, string 2, string 3, string 4, string 5);
Example:
'^/COLOR_VLV.$REF' := SELSTR('^/PROMPT_FLOAT.CV', "//XV_102","//XV_202","//XV_302","","")
In the above example the dynamic reference parameter, COLOR_VLV.$REF is assigned the result returned by the string function (such as //XV_102). Note that the example does not include strings for the values 4 and 5.
