Use the General tab to associate this controller or Ethernet I/O Card (EIOC) with a specific area and to enable a redundant address.
The dialog has the following fields and controls.
Displays the name of this node. This is how this controller or EIOC is identified in the DeltaV database.
To record a description of how this controller or EIOC is used in the process, enter a description in the Description box.
The description appears in printouts that include the controller or EIOC and also when you select the Control Network and click .
Node descriptions can be as many as 255 characters long.
Enter or browse to the Area with which this controller or EIOC is associated.
Enables hardware alarms from this controller or EIOC to be viewed from operator graphics and the DeltaV Diagnostics application.
Assigns a redundant DeltaV network address for this controller or EIOC. For SIS Controllers, network redundancy must be enabled for Modbus TCP communications.
Causes an integrity error to appear when this workstation’s time is not synchronized with other nodes.
Specifies that this controller or EIOC is part of a redundant pair.
The controller or EIOC model, selected from the drop-down list. This must match the actual hardware; or, in the case of virtual hardware, it must match the virtual hardware (for example, SVirtual is the virtual S series controller).
A virtual controller cannot be downloaded if non-ethernet I/O is assigned to it.
The controller or EIOC major revision number, selected from the drop-down list. This must match the actual hardware.
