When using remote (that is, not installed on a DeltaV workstation) Enterprise Historians (OSIsoft PI Server), you must grant the access authorization to the DeltaV clients. This is accomplished two ways, depending on which DeltaV operator client you are using.
For both DeltaV Operate and DeltaV Live workstations, you must configure the security options for the OSIsoft PI Server.
For DeltaV Operate workstations, you must create a trust to view the historical data on the remote OSIsoft PI Server.
For DeltaV Live workstations, you must create a Windows user mapping to view the historical data on the remote OSIsoft PI Server.
