To properly operate the devices on the AS-Interface network, the DeltaV AS-Interface card conforms to the AS-Interface master specifications for device configuration, addressing, and data exchange. You use the DeltaV Explorer to configure the AS-Interface master and slave devices and the DeltaV Diagnostics application to view diagnostic information on the AS-Interface master and slave devices. Refer to the DeltaV Explorer's online help for complete information on configuring the AS-Interface master and slave devices.
If a control module that is writing to an output of a AS-Interface slave device is deleted in the DeltaV Explorer, the module's signal value persists until the device is deleted and the card downloaded. Refer to KBA NA-0900-0054 for complete information.
