A HART device configuration defines a specific device associated with a device tag. The configuration contains information about the device manufacturer, type and revision, as well as information about the device's alarms. You can view devices and their properties through the DeltaV Explorer Control Network and SIS Network.
The field device must be Universal HART Command Revision 5 or later to work correctly with DeltaV. When a field device with an older Universal HART Command Revision is used, DeltaV Diagnostics will always show a Config does not match device error.
