The I/O Configuration application lets you view I/O data in three ways. These views are available under the View menu.
Control Strategies - shows a hierarchy that includes areas, assigned modules and their I/O reference parameters. For each parameter, this view displays the parameter type and its associated Device Tag.
From the Control Strategies view, you can select parameters and edit their properties by right-clicking.
Network - shows a hierarchy that includes each controller node and its I/O subsystem. The I/O subsystem shows the I/O cards connected to the controller and the channels on each I/O card. For each channel, this view displays the channel type, the associated Device Tag, the enabled status, and references to this channel by modules.
From the Network view, you can select channels and edit their properties by right-clicking.
SIS Network - shows a hierarchy that includes all the logic solvers and logic solver channels. For each channel, this view displays the channel type, the associated Device Tag, the enabled status, references to this channel by modules and the node to which the associated logic solver is assigned.
Sort by Device Tag - shows all the Device Tags in the system, their hardware paths, and any module parameters that reference the Device Tags.
The Network view and the Control Strategies view allow you to filter the displayed data in order to reduce the amount of information in the window. In the Network view, you can display channel information for a single controller or for a single card.
In the Control Strategies view, you can display parameter information for a single area, or for a single module.
You can filter the data by selecting the Filter by command on the View menu.
