You can use module templates and module classes together. For example, if your process includes multiple 2-state motors that require similar configurations you can drag a 2-state motor template to the Control Module Classes container in DeltaV Explorer and a control module class is created from the template (the template still remains). Then, edit the class to match your control requirements more precisely. Finally, drag the control module class to an equipment module class or unit class to make it part of a hierarchical class-based configuration strategy. You can also drag the control module class as many times as needed directly to areas under Control Strategies in DeltaV Explorer to create individual control module instances that are independent of unit modules or equipment modules.
