Batches that remain on the Batch List (in the Batch Operator Interface), remain resident in memory on the Batch Executive machine. This is true for all batches, even those that are Ready, Idle, or Complete.
To avoid extra memory usage on the Batch Executive, remove any batches that are no longer needed. A record of every batch is added to the Batch Historian and you can use the Batch History View application to retrieve a record.
Because batches in the Ready state use memory, avoid queuing up a large number of batches on the batch list prior to starting them. Consider using the Batch Manager application if you must schedule many batches in advance. This application was designed for exactly this type of requirement.
