PID algorithms in the final control element

For fieldbus systems, DeltaV allows the PID algorithms to execute in field devices or in the DeltaV Controller. It is recommend that you put the PID function block in the final control element, typically a Digital Valve Controller, to more efficiently use fieldbus communications.
