The discovery file,
OPC.NETServerUrls.txt, enables OPC .NET clients to
automatically discover and connect to OPC .NET servers. Edit this file to
include the URLs of the OPC .NET servers:
Make sure the DeltaV OPC .NET Discovery service is running.
From a command prompt type the following command:
set
Look through the results for the path associated with
the ALLUSERSPROFILE environment variable. (Typically this will be
C:\ProgramData.) The
OPC.NETServerUrls.txt discovery file will be in
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\OPC .NET.
Edit the file with a text editor. The file contains instructions
for adding OPC .NET servers.
Note
OPC .NET servers do not start automatically in response to a client
application request as OPC COM/DCOM servers do, so the DeltaV OPC .NET Server
and DeltaV OPC .NET Discovery services must be running before client
applications can access them.
