DeltaV Device Commissioner displays the following set of four indicators to represent the commissioning state of each device:
If all four indicators for a device appear black as shown above, the device has been successfully sensed, bound, configured, and tested. If an indicator appears red, the device has not successfully passed the phase represented by that indicator.
Note that all four indicators may not appear for devices in DeltaV Device Commissioner. The indicators that appear depend on the active auto-commissioning policy in use. For example, if AMS configuration is disabled in the auto-commissioning policy, the Configured indicator does not appear. Similarly, if automated loop testing is disabled in the auto-commissioning policy, the Tested indicator does not appear.
When a device has been bound, configured, or tested, the commissioning state that DeltaV Device Commissioner displays for that device will not change until you clear that state or a Sense All command detects a difference with the database. Actions that you take on that device in other applications, such as DeltaV Explorer, will not affect the commissioning state that DeltaV Device Commissioner displays for that device.
When you upgrade DeltaV software, device commissioning status is not preserved.
