Sensing wireless devices connected to a wireless I/O card (WIOC)

When you use DeltaV Device Commissioner to sense wireless devices connected to a WIOC, the application polls the device list of the WIOC but does not enable Active Advertising on the WIOC. If you want to check for new devices not already on the list, you must enable Active Advertising in DeltaV Explorer.

If you want DeltaV Device Commissioner to sense wireless devices periodically, perform the following steps:

1. Right-click the WIOC in the I/O Node Selector and select Acquire.
2. Select the WIOC in the Work List.
3. Click the down arrow at the right of the Sense New HART Devices button, and either select one of the preset intervals or click Custom and enter a custom interval.
